What we do Totally independent

Filing Relocation's core business is to seamlessly transfer files during an office move. In addition, we begin a project by carying out intensive archiving campaigns in order to reduce the overall volume of files needing to be rehoused. Fewer files means fewer cabinets which in turn frees up valuable floor space for more desking and other uses.

Filing Relocation has no ties with box storage companies or suppliers of files and filing equipment. This way we ensure that any storage/filing advice given is totally free from bias.

                                             Less files = more floorspace
We can help you win this trade-off

More about us

Historically, Filing Relocation used to just provide specialised staff to transfer files during an office move. More recently, as companies increasingly look at making their floor space usage more efficient, Filing Relocation is becoming known for the filing reduction work it carries out on behalf of the client before the actual move. The net result of our aggressive archiving campaigns is that fewer files mean fewer cabinets, which in turn frees up valuable floor space for more desking.

Clients now see 'mistake free' file relocation as a specialist job requiring help from people who have an in depth knowledge of filing and storage. This used to be regarded as just another part of the move process however clients now realise that moving files requires a very different skillset to moving furniture and IT. It is not unusual for our project managers to be asked to join the move team early on in the planning stage. This simply underlines how seriously clients view this part of the operation and the importance of early input from a storage specialist.

With regard to the archiving work that we carry out, it must be emphasised that everything is done by ourselves rather than our Project Managers 'encouraging' the users to do it as is the case with many of our competitors. Our philosophy is that the easier you make it for the user, the more readily they'll be to hand over files for processing. We are proud to say that we consistently meet filing volume reduction targets that many would feel unachievable.

Historically we operated mainly in the private sector however more recently we've started to develop strong government ties- for example the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

Filing Relocation has no ties with suppliers of files and filing equipment and the same goes for archive storage companies. This is the only way to ensure that any storage/filing advice given is totally free from bias.
